Sadhana Adhikari was one of the leading exemplary woman figure of Nepal! politics who did lifelong contribution in the field of woman Rights. She was born in Asan, Kathmandu in 1982 B.S. on the lap of father Sankarlal Pradhan and mother Rambadevi Pradhan as a second child of her parents. She had loose her mother at the age of six. She became one of the women among first four other of Nepal who did S.L.C. in 2004 B.S.

She was active in Nepali politics from 2004 B.S. in the same year of Baishak 17 she was arrested for 16 days on civil protest. After release from Jail she had done major contribution to establish Nepal Women Union and she also did edit of women Journal and became a first woman editor of Nepal. She had express huge brave through facing to the Rana Ruler Padma Shamsher at that time in 2004 B.S. with delegation of woman for voting right as man. She was entered in Nepal communist party in 2007 B.S and she became a first woman elected representative from Kathmandu Municipality in 2010 B.S. She had did love marriage with former Prim Minister and chairperson of Nepal Communist Party (UML) late Manamohan Adhikari in 2011 B.S. She had also involved herself in teaching profession in her early life.

She was passed away in Baishak 11,2062 B.S.

To honor her lifelong tremendous contribution in Nepali politics especially in the field of women Rights The Postal Services Department of Nepal issue this commemorative Postage stamp depicting her portrait.
