Q: National Children’s Day miniature sheet has 10r. stamp but is inscribed 25r. on margin. I assume it was sold from Bangladesh post offices for 25r.? If used for postage was its value 10r or 25r? If 10r. what was the 15r. premium on sheet used for? Was this for charity or the Bangladesh Post Office?

A: National Children s Day issued as a Souvenir Sheet. Yes. it is sold at Taka 25.00 BDT. The total value of the S/S is 25.00 BDT. But if you separate/cut stamps from S/S, then value will be only 10.00 BDT. That mean if we use whole s/s as postage then it will count 25.00 BDT as postage. If stamps separated from s/s and use on cover will account 10.00 BDT only and there will be loss of 15.00 BDT.
