Nepal has establish itself with its own original identity in world tourism map as a popular tourism destination due to its natural beauty, unique geographical location, multi religious, multicast, multi linguistic cultural and biodiversity nature. Nepal Government has decided to celebrate 2011 AD as a year of "Nepal Tourism year 2011" with the partnership and coordination with key stakeholders by setting an objective to develop, promote and enlarge the tourism sector, which is stands as important part of Nepal! economy, for to get desirable achievement in poverty alleviation. There is an enormous opportunity for development of tourism; however, Nepal is unable to get adequate proportional development of tourism. To realize this fact Nepal Government tends to celebrate the' Nepal Tourism year 2011' through by identifying multidimensional sector with special programming effort in association with stakeholders of tourism sector.

To get notable result from the 'Nepal Tourism year 2011' Nepal Government has set different Goals, Quantitative objectives and promotion strategies. Establish Nepal in international level with distinct tourism brand for unique Tourism destination, develop and enlarge infrastructure of tourism of established and new tourism area, promote internal tourism etc are some of the goals to achieve annually 10 lakha ( a million ) international tourist into country, 40% of it should do visit in new tourism area, promote private sector for developing tourist friendly infrastructure etc as a Quantitative objectives. For this Nepal has to do marketing and promotion program, exploration of new tourism area, do special advertisement of Nepal tourism brand "Naturally Nepal, once is not enough" etc as a promotion strategies, Through above mention subject matter Nepal government is believe to get required help from related stakeholders to make success of Nepal tourism year 2011.
